Educational Use, No Warranty

All content is provided as is, for educational and informational purposes, without warranty of any kind. Threat intelligence changes quickly: indicators go stale, infrastructure is reassigned and attribution evolves. Readers are responsible for verifying information before acting on it.

Nothing on this site is professional, legal or incident response advice, and reading it creates no client or advisory relationship. Organizations facing an active incident should engage their own security team or a qualified responder.

Detection Queries

Splunk SPL and Microsoft KQL queries are drafted with AI assistance and validated mechanically against published vendor schemas. They are starting points for hunting, not production detections. Test every query in a non-production environment first, tune it to local data and naming, and review the performance cost before scheduling it.

Indicators of compromise (IP addresses, domains and file hashes) come from public threat feeds and research. A listed indicator is evidence to investigate, not proof of malicious activity, and blocking one without review can disrupt legitimate services.

Sharing and Reuse

Readers may quote and share Focused Hunts content with attribution and a link to the original page. Detection queries may be copied, adapted and used freely in any environment, commercial or private.

Third-party research, data and trademarks cited on this site belong to their owners and remain subject to their own terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Focused Hunts and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, this site, its content, its queries or its tools.

Focused Hunts may update these terms and will revise the effective date above when it does. Questions can go to the feedback page.
